Product Recall Information
On December 1st, 2022 and on March 31, 2023 we issued voluntary
recalls of The Laundress products.
On December 27th, 2022 we issued a product withdrawal of
additional The Laundress products.
You can request a reimbursement for both the product recalls and
product withdrawal by emailing
customerservice@thelaundress.com.
Products purchased after July 2023 are not affected by the
voluntary recalls or product withdrawal.
We deeply apologize for this situation and thank you for your
patience. We look forward to reintroducing The Laundress with
products that reaffirm our commitment to the highest standards
of consumer safety and quality.

How do I know if my product is impacted?
You can check to see if your product is included on the December 1, 2022 or March 31, 2023 voluntary recall lists, or the product withdrawal list.
My product is not affected by the recalls, can I still use it?
No. The Laundress has issued market actions affecting nearly all its products except hard good accessories. Please visit www.TheLaundress.com for more information.
What should I do if I have an affected product?
If you have an affected product, you should immediately stop using it. Please see the instructions above on how to receive a reimbursement. Once you have submitted your reimbursement request, make sure the bottle is closed and dispose of it in household trash. Do not empty the product prior to disposal.
How do I safely dispose of these products?
To dispose of the product, close the bottle tightly and place it in your household trash. Please do not empty the product.
Can I get a refund for the recalled products?
Consumers who have previously requested a refund for these products in response to The Laundress’s December 1, 2022 recall and December 27, 2022, company-initiated product withdrawal should NOT submit a new request. You can check to see if your product is included on the December 1, 2022 or March 31, 2023 voluntary recall lists.
I’ve already used or thrown away my product, but I believe my product was impacted. What should I do?
If you purchased an impacted product after January 2021, but you no longer have the product in your possession, you can still submit for a reimbursement in two ways:
- If you purchased online directly from www.TheLaundress.com, providing the email address you used when you placed your order.
- Providing a receipt for the impacted product.
When will I receive a reimbursement and how?
Consumers with impacted products will receive a full reimbursement. To participate , follow the instructions below:
Consumers who purchased the recalled products January 1, 2021 - December 31, 2022 may request a refund by submitting:
- a photo of the bottle with the lot code with your initials and the date written in marker,
- a valid receipt (product description, quantity and price paid), or
- if purchased through www.TheLaundress.com, you can submit your e-mail address.
Consumers who purchased the impacted products before January 2021 may participate in this recall by submitting a photo of the bottle with the lot code with their initials and the date written in marker.
All consumers participating in this reimbursement will receive a full refund of the purchase price, with receipt, or of the manufacturer’s suggested retail price, without receipt.

Reimbursement methods will vary by country. For U.S. and Canada, you will receive a check in up to 8-10 weeks.
