Delicate Wash

We recommend washing delicate fabrics and natural fibers in cold water. Always test color fastness in an inconspicuous spot first. For machine washing, use a delicate or woolen cycle with cold water and a gentle detergent like our Delicate Wash. Turn item inside out and insert in a Mesh Bag (optional). For HE washing machines, use dispenser. For standard washers, start machine, add laundry detergent, then clothes. For handwashing clothes, rinse well with water. We do not recommend soaking items longer than 30 minutes. Never use the dryer; instead, lay flat to dry in natural shape and steam as needed. Contains 31 loads as measured to a medium dose. Use a measuring cup or The Laundress Laundry Measuring Cup and follow dosing instructions:

Hand washing 0.25 FL OZ / 7.5 mL

Medium load 0.5 FL OZ / 15 mL

Heavily soiled or large load 1 FL OZ / 30 mL

Good To Know: Steaming is ideal for knits and woolens. Sometimes knits may appear wrinkled after washing, but you cannot iron wool, cashmere, or other natural fibers as it can crush and warp the yarns. Instead, steaming will release the wrinkles and fluff the yarns for a fine fabric finish.

Mesh Bag Bundle

Gently place your garment inside your small or large Mesh Bag before adding to the washing machine. Avoid overstuffing your Mesh Bag to prevent rips and tears. Once you add your garment, zip the bag shut and add to your washing machine’s drum before proceeding with washing.​

​If you are not placing bags in the dryer, hang to dry. Ensure bags are completely dry before storing.
